According to US news sites on Wednesday, July 27, 2011, Morgan Freeman‘s rep Stan Rosenfield confirmed that the voice of the narrator on that video ad is not the “Shawshank Redemption” star.

“The political ad in Wisconsin by a conservative group narrated by someone trying to sound like Morgan Freeman was not narrated by Mr. Freeman. Morgan Freeman did NOT narrate that ad.” Stan Rosenfield was quoted on reports.

Apparently, the video ad was created for the conservative group “Citizens for a Strong America” and hitting Democrat Shelly Moore during the recent Wisconsin recall election campaign.

Last November 2010, a political ad for North Carolina Republican congressional candidate B.J. Lawson was released and his campaign office claimed that Morgan Freeman was the voice behind it.

Nevertheless, they corrected themselves later and apologized after the “Million Dollar Baby” actor denied being associated with the said video.

Below is the full transcript of the voice-over for “Citizens for a Strong America“, which reportedly sounds like Morgan Freeman.

“Here’s what Shelly Moore thinks about taxes. Moore and her union fought to overturn the reforms that had finally ended a decade of double-digit property tax increases.

And Moore and her union support a government-run health plan that would raise taxes by $510 a month for every Wisconsin worker, and give free health care to illegal aliens. Moore. Taxes.

Tell Shelly Moore, when it comes to taxes, we want less, not more.”
