According to recent updated report released by Monster.com, a jobs site, through various international news sites as of June 2, 2011, jobs are expected to show a labor market that still continues to struggle, but prospects are better for those jobs hunters in some areas.

Based from Monster report, Washington, San Francisco and Baltimore are among the top 10 areas with the most online job ads per labor-force participant, which includes both the employed and the unemployed.

It was reportedly noted that among the top 10 markets, the average rate of jobs posted per participant is about double the national rate.

Matthew Henson, a spokesman at Monster, was reportedly quoted saying, “These markets are attractive because there is a robust demand for talent.” “These major metro markets tend be really attractive for job seekers. We are seeing the trend escalate.”

“What we’re seeing over the course of the last year is measured growth in the job market,” Henson said. “No one has the expectation that we are going to restore all of the lost jobs overnight, but the fact that we are seeing companies continue to hire…this is encouraging,” he further adds.

Similar reports confirm that to compile the list of hot cities in U.S. for jobs, Monster recently collected sufficient data about the number of openings posted online by firms and government agencies, as well as career sites.

Here’s the Monster’s list of top 10 hottest areas for jobs in the U.S.:

  1. Washington
  2. San Francisco
  3. Baltimore
  4. Minneapolis
  5. Cleveland
  6. Boston
