As published at Inquirer Sports, boxing promoter Bob Arum said Pacquiao’s mother suffered an apparent panic attack while watching the round per round results of the Pacquiao-Margarito fight.

Mommy Dionesia, as she is known for, was among the thousands of supporters of Manny Pacquiao, and was sitting at ringside for the WBC Light-middleweight boxing match at the Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Texas.

“She had an anxiety attack during the fight but she is perfectly fine now, no problem,” Bob Arum said. “She’s OK now. She’s OK,”

Coach Freddie Roach said. “She’s fine. A little fatigued and in the hospital but she is fine.”

On the other hand, ABS CBN also reported that Mommy Dionesia passed out and was brought to the nearest hospital.

According to a tweet by celebrity doctor Vicki Belo, who was along with her daughter Cristalle, who was also sitting in the front row during the fight, she confirmed that Mommy Dionesia lost consciousness but regained it before she was brought to the hospital.

Meanwhile, the new WBC Light-middleweight boxing champion Manny Pacquiao said at the post-fight news conference that he had been informed on what happened to her mother and that she is now feeling better.
