According to health website CaringBridge.org, Scruggs walked into the front of the plane propeller, which was close enough to cause the left side of her body, head, and shoulder area to be hit.

As noted at US news sites on Monday, Lauren Scruggs has just stepped off a two-seater 2011 Aviat Husky A-1C-180 plane after it landed at a private airport in McKinney, Texas when the incident happened.

Scruggs, 23, who runs the fashion blog BlogByLolo.com, was rushed to Parkland Hospital in Dallas by a helicopter, here she reportedly had several operations and is now in the ICU for further recovery.

“To the doctors and her family’s delight, Lauren said a few words this afternoon. When they asked her what her name is, she replied, “Lauren“. What a blessing! Thank you Jesus.” A statement reads at CaringBridge.org.

Cheryl and Brittany (Lauren‘s mother and twin sister) also told her that they loved her, and she replied back, “I love you.” We pray that her brain will continue to heal and have full restoration!” The statement added.
