According to a post by Magic 89.9 on their official Facebook page on Wednesday, May 9, 2012, three of their DJs including Mo Twister have been suspended for starting the hashtag #charicepempengcosɛxtape on Twitter on early Wednesday morning and became a trending topic locally.

Magic 89.9 Official Statement about hashtag Charice Pempengco on Twitter. Wednesday, May 09, 2012.” Magic 89.9 (@Magic899) tweeted about two hours ago, along with a link on their statement on Facebook.

As noted by the radio station, Mo Twister, or Mohan Gumatay in real life, Tin Gamboa, and Mia Bayuga started the said Charice hashtag as a joke on their live morning show Good Times, noting that the management does not condone such kind of actions.

After about an hour, Mo Twister sent multiple tweets apologizing to Charice and to her family and Chasters (Charice‘ fans) for what he and his two co-DJs did, noting that he will make a public apology on their radio show tomorrow morning.

“I want to take the opportunity to apologize to Charice for a stupid & cruel joke on our show today. We attempted to be funny at her expense and, in the process, hurt her feelings. It’s with deep regret that we have come to learn that.” Mo Twister (@djmotwister) tweeted.

“On behalf of @suzy899 and @mia899, we apologize Charice for our stupid behavior and immature attempt to generate laughs.” Mo Twister added, noting that the ‘Louder’ singer is making a big contribution to promote the local talent.

“We are sorry. You’ve been nothing but supportive of our show in the past. We failed to show our appreciation today @OfficialCharice. For those we tried to entertain today with our dumb attempt at being funny, I ask you no longer contribute to that made up hashtag. It holds no truth about it.” Mo Twister continued.

As noted in local reports, Charice Pempengco, who turns 20 tomorrow, Thursday, May 10, responded to Mo Twister using direct tweets, noting that she plans to talk to him face-to-face when she returns home and may file a case against him.

Apparently, the said tweets are nowhere to be found in her official Twitter account (@OfficialCharice), which were believed deleted by Charice herself after sending them.
