MJ fans launches petition to stop airing Michael Jackson’s Autopsy at Discovery Channel

MJ fans were reported to have launched a petition to stop airing ‘Michael Jackson’s Autopsy‘ at Discovery Channel, which is set to be shown on January 13, 2011 in UK.

As published at TMZ on Saturday, the petition have so far have collected some 1,500 signatures Michael Jackson fans demanding Discovery Channel not to broadcast the autopsy of the late ‘King of Pop’.

“We ask the directors of the Discovery Channel programming to proceed with the outright cancellation of this indecent documentary.” The petition said.

“The documentary is an affront to human dignity. This type of sensational and unscrupulous reporting can only cause harm.” The petition was quoted at TMZ.

The Michael Jackson’s Autopsy was said to be based on the official coroner’s report and court documents taken after the ‘Thriller‘ pop singer’s death last year.

According to other news reports, two Michael Jackson campaign groups namely MJ Justice Project and MJ Children have united to invite fellow fans to contact the bosses of Discovery Channel and ask the documentary show not to be aired on TV.

Meanwhile, an online petition with the same agenda made by a certain Marquita Lewis was posted at PetitionSpot.com on Friday and is being supported by a post at MichaelJackson.com.
