As noted at ABS-CBN News on Thursday night, Mikey Arroyo boarded the Philippine Airlines Flight PR 104 at 10:45 p.m. (local time) bound to San Francisco, California.

The former presidential son was said to have arrived at the Terminal 2 of the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) at around 9 p.m. but did not speak with reporters at the airport.

Mikey Arroyo, 42, is the eldest son of incumbent Pampanga Congresswoman Gloria Macapagal Arroyo, who early that day requested the Supreme Court to stop the order of Justice Secretary Leila De Lima, preventing her to leave the country.

Meanwhile, the young Arroyo told reporters earlier that he will meet with several groups that are willing to share expenses for the ‘Ang Galing Pinoy‘ health care, noting that his travel permit is until December 7 but stressed out that he will return as soon as the meeting ends.

Ruy Rondain, Mikey‘s lawyer, said that his client posted bail worth P300,000 that day at the Court of Tax Appeals. He also posted bail last week at the Quezon City RTC and secured a travel permit.

Mikey Arroyo is being accused of alleged failure to file tax returns and has 3 cases before the Court of Tax Appeals, as well as other cases at the Quezon City Regional Trial Court (RTC) Branch 100.
