Michael Jordan Banned: MJ Banned From Golf Course After Dress Code ViolationBy May Shella Mojana-Macuha on Nov 29, 2012 in Golf, Sports, United States •
Michael Jordan was banned from a golf course after wearing cargo pants, sports news sites reported on Wednesday, November 28, 2012.
According to reports, La Gorce Country Club in Miami banned Jordan after refusing to change his cargo pants when he was informed that he was violating the club’s dress code. The club’s strict dress code is said to be slacks or Bermuda shorts and a collared shirt.
Michael Jordan‘s representative reportedly told the New York Post: “Michael Jordan did wear cargo pants. He had been there many times before and had worn cargo pants previously, and had never been made aware that he was violating any dress code.”
“This time, he was made aware of the violation on the 12th hole, and, at that point, he did refuse to interrupt his game, and return to the clubhouse and change. We were not aware that he is not allowed to return to La Gorce. I guess it’s their loss – as MJ is a great golfer, and a great guest,” Michael Jordan‘s representative added.
The golf club did not respond with a comment on why Michael Jordan was banned when some news organization contacted them.
