Michael Jackson’s ‘Michael’ album is Guinness World Records world’s largest poster (Video)

London, EnglandMichael Jackson‘s ‘Michael’ album is now the World’s Largest Poster, and has been confirmed by Guinness World Records, as can be watched on a YouTube video below which was also published at MichaelJackson.com.uk on Thursday.

According to its report, Michael Jackson‘s huge poster measures 29,070 square foot total area (or 171 feet by 10 feet), and beat the former record holder by more than 110 square foot, the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver, Canada.

To understand more how big was the size of the Michael Jackson poster, the post said it would cover over three fourth of the pitch at Wembley Stadium.

The Michael Jackson poster, the ‘Michael’ album cover created by painter Kadir Nelson in 2009 was made of PVC, and weighs one ton, and took three hours for engineers to install.

It was placed in what was called as ‘Michael’s Field’, and is less then 3 kilometers away from one of the main runways of Heathrow Airport, and can be seen clearly by all incoming and departing planes.

Guinness World Records adjudicator Tarika Vara said:

“This is a massive achievement and it brings me great pleasure to confirm that with this new world record, Michael Jackson‘s ‘Michael’ has earned its place in history.

This poster has not only achieved incredible scale but it has combined this with intricate detail and having seen it up close I can confirm that the quality of the image is fantastic.

Michael Jackson already holds a number of Guinness World Records and we are thrilled to award another title to the King of Pop.”

The Michael Jackson poster will stay on the said field until 23rd December, and will later be touring and be displayed in different places in Europe, the report added.
