Miami Heat Wins First Game vs Cleveland Cavaliers in the NBA 2010 Season

The Miami Heat wins its first game of the NBA 2010-11 Season against the Cleveland Cavaliers, 118-90. LeBron James conquered Cleveland in his first game against the Cavaliers since leaving the team to play for the Heat.

According to NBA.com, James finished the game with 38 poinst on 15-of-25 shooting, handed 8 assists and grabbed 5 rebounds with zero turnover. Dwyane Wade also had  a terrific night with 22 points, 9 assists and 9 rebounds. Cleveland was led by Daniel Gibson with 21 points.

James finished the first half with 14 points on 5-of-13 shooting and six assists. The first half statistics of James reflected how good he has played in Cleveland all through this years. King James good game rubbed on his teammates as they have drawn offensive fouls and crash the boards pretty well.

By the end of the first half, the Heat field goal percentage is at a high 52.4% aided mainly with its good teamwork as they collected 15 assists on 22 shots.

At the start of the third quarter, the Cavaliers had another slow start and Miami‘s lead ballooned to 30 at the end of the third at 95-65. James shot 5-of-5 during the first six minutes of the third quarter. The Cavaliers never get back and the game ended with the Heat routing them.

The two teams will meet again on December 15, 2010 at the American Airlines Arena, Miami, Florida.
