The Miami Heat extended their win streak record to 24 after a come-from-behind victory over the Cleveland Cavaliers, 98-95, at the Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland on Wednesday night, March 20, 2013.
LeBron James registered his fourth triple-double of the season against his former team. He scored a game-high 25 points, 12 rebounds and 10 assists in 42 minutes. Mario Chalmers contributed 17 points and Dwyane Wade added 11 for the Heat.
The Heat overcame a 27-point deficit in the third quarter to snatch the victory from the Cavaliers. Miami outscored Cleveland, 30-18, during the fourth quarter comeback.
Miami raised their NBA regular season win-loss record to 53-14. They are nine games behind the 33 straight wins by the 1971-72 Los Angeles Lakers.
Cleveland offense was anchored by Wayne Ellington who scored 20 points. Tristan Thompson and Shaun Livingston had 18 an 14 points respectively.
The Cavaliers missed the services of injured All Star player, Kyrie Erving and center Anderson Varejao.
Miami will again try to extend their winning streak to 25, when they play against the Detroit Pistons on Friday, March 22.
