Miami Heat Airplane encountered wing flap trouble on its Flight to Cleveland

CLEVELAND — The Miami Heat airplane encountered a wing flap problem on their way to Cleveland for LeBron JamesMiami Heat versus Cleveland Cavaliers first game of the NBA 2010-11 Season.

Acccording to international sports sites, Jackie Mayo, a spokeswoman for Cleveland Hopkins airport, confirmed the Miami Heat aircraft problem. He said that crew of the Heat‘s plane reported a wing flap trouble before landing on Thursday. Firetrucks were immediately dispatched to the airport runway.

The Miami Heat plane landed safely at about 2:30 a.m. ET despite the reported “wing flap issue“.

The Cavaliers and the Heat will play on Thursday night, December 2, 2010, 8:00 PM ET at the Quicken Loans Arena, Cleveland, Ohio. This will be the first game of James in Cleveland since leaving the team five months ago to play for the Miami Heat team.

Security measures were being implemented for the Heat-Cavs game to prevent trouble and to protect James.
