Mercedes-Benz issued another recall for a certain 2011MY Mercedes-Benz E-Class Sedans (chassis code W212) and Estates (chassis code S212), international news reported.

Just recently, Mercedes-Benz issued a recall for their M-Class SUV vehicles due to cruise control problem.

Meanwhile, the latest recall affects only 41 sedans and wagons, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA). The recall was due to inadequate adhesive in the vibration damper in the engine compartment. It was said that it may increase the risk that the vibration damper and its inner mass damper ring will separate. They fear that the resulting kinetic energy from the separated mass damper ring may harm anyone who is fixing the vehicle.

Reports said that the recall is set to start on April 11, 2011. Car owners are being encouraged to check the build date of their cars by taking a look at a sticker on the driver-side door jamb if their car is included in the recall. Dealers of the recalled vehicles will examine and replace them with parts for free.

For additional information, car owners may contact NHTSA safety hotline at 888-327-4236.
