The Mercedes-Benz A-Class was said to be one of the “nicest-looking Mercedes concepts in some time”, according to Auto Spies.

According to Mercedes-Benz‘s press release, the Concept A-Class “signals the beginning of a new generation of smaller vehicles with expressive design.” It features front-wheel drive, a new turbocharged four-cylinder gasoline engine developing 210 hp, a dual clutch transmission and a radar-based collision warning system with adaptive Brake Assist.

According to reports from international automobile news sites, Mercedes-Benz officials said on Wednesday in New York that they plan to bring the newly redesigned A-Class premium small car to the U.S. market. However, Joachim Schmidt, Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Mercedes-Benz Cars only said that it will be available in the U.S. “some time in this decade.”

It was reported that the car will go on sale in Europe next year. The A-Class will offer “”all the benefits typical of Mercedes-Benz: safety, quality, comfort and refined sportiness,” Schmidt reportedly said.
