Reports say that Yi was the early favorite in the 10-shot event with her beauty and skills. She narrowly won the women’s 10-meter air rifle shooting over Poland‘s Sylwia Bogacka.

With Bogacka taking the silver medal, Yi‘s teammate Dan Yu settled with the bronze medal.

Yi is reportedly known as the “Shooting Beauty” and previously won the 10-meter event in the 2010 World championships.

Defending Olympic champion Katie Emmonso from the Czech Republic was in fourth place. Emmonso is the wife of Matt Emmons, an American shooting gold medalist.

Americans Jamie-Lynn Gray and Sarah Scherer finished the shooting event in fifth and seventh, respectively.
