Meat recall: Buona Vita recalls 324,770 pounds of meat, poultry products due to Listeria issue (Product List)

Buona Vita, Inc., an establishment in Bridgeton, New Jersey, is recalling approximately 324,770 pounds of various frozen, ready-to-eat meat and poultry products due to possible contamination with Listeria monocytogenes. The complete product list of the recalled products is available below.

According to U.S. Department of Agriculture‘s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) on its official website on Saturday, July 7, 2012, the Buona Vita meat recall involves various brands of products produced from May 3, 4, 7, 8, and 9 this year, with the company noting that there were no reported illnesses related to the recall.

As noted in the report, the problem was discovered through microbiological testing by FSIS and the Ohio Department of Agriculture (ODA), and the affected products were sold to distribution facilities nationwide, which the list to be posted at FSIS.gov once it becomes available.
