Maynilad now holds the Guinness World Records’ ‘Largest Pipe Drum Ensemble’

Manila, PhilippinesMaynilad Water Services, Inc. (Maynilad) is now holding the Guinness World Records certificate for the ‘largest pipe drum ensemble‘, which was awarded last Monday, January 31, 2011.

According to Inquirer on Wednesday, Maynilad earned the world record for the country as having the largest pipe drum ensemble in the world, and was certified by Guinness World Records London-based adjudicator Kimberley Dennis.

The awarding ceremony was held at the SMX Convention Center in a gathering, and was attended by more than 2,000 guests, headed by Maynilad Chairman Mr. Manny V. Pangilinan.

Among other guests in the said event which was hosted by actor-TV host Ryan Agoncillo, were Board Member Jorge A. Consunji, Chief Operating Officer Herbert M. Consunji, and Maynilad President Ricky P. Vargas.

“We can do all of these if we have the correct mindset. We have to continue to put our customers first.” Mr. Vargas said, as Maynilad supplies water to all areas in Metro Manila including Manila (except for Sta. Ana and San Andres), Quezon City, San Juan, Makati, among others, as well as to all provinces in Cavite.
