Mavericks wins Game 3 over Lakers (98-92), sweeps the lead 3-0

Dallas Mavericks won Game 3 over the Los Angeles Lakers for the Western Conference semi-finals, 98-92, and continuously leading the series, 3-0.

As noted at NBA, the Mavericks rallied to win in the remaining five minutes of the fourth quarter against the Lakers on Friday, May 6, in Dallas.

Apparently, the Lakers was leading by six points (81-75) with less than last seven minutes in the ball game but the Mavericks made a 17-5 run and eventually winning Game 3.

Peja Stojakovic went to his shining moment and scored 11 points in the fourth quarter. He also made three 3-points, with a total of 15 points in the entire game.

On the other hand, Dirk Nowitzki, who scored a game-high of 32 points made into the basket with 83 seconds remaining in the ball game.

Jason Terry, who successfully put in the free throws in the last seconds of the game, scored a total of 23 points for the historical game for Dallas.

For the Lakers, Andrew Bynum led the scores finishing off with 21 points and 10 rebounds while Kobe Bryant made 17 points with 6 assists; and without the suspended Ron Artest who hit Jose Barea’s face on Game 2.

Based on history, no NBA team has ever lost after making a three straight wins in the playoffs but the LA Lakers will take a shot in Game 4 which will be held on Sunday.
