Maserati GranTurismo MC and GranTurismo Convertible Sport Debut at 2011 New York International Auto Show

The Maserati GranTurismo MC and Maserati GranTurismo Convertible Sport made their world debuts at the 2011 New York International Auto Show, several automobile news sites reported on Wednesday.

According to reports, the Maserati GranTurismo MC has a top speed of 185 mph and a 0-60 time of just 4.8 seconds, making it the fastest production Maserati available in North America.

The Maserati GranTurismo MC is reportedly powered by Maserati 4.7-liter all-alloy V8 which delivers 444 horsepower at 7,000 rpm and 376 lb-ft of torque at 4,750 rpm.

Meanwhile, the Maserati GranTurismo Convertible Sport was said to be a more performance-oriented version of the GranTurismo Covertible. It was reported to be equipped with the latest Maserati sport exhaust system, which are also found on the GranTurismo S model and Quattroporte Sport GTS.

Reports said that the Maserati GranTurismo Convertible Sport features a new front aerodynamic fascia, side skirts and dark look trim and headlamps, and body-colored door handles.

Both vehicles are on sale now and will arrive in North America starting August, 2011.
