According to Philboxing, Juan Manuel Marquez and his team wore a shirt with a mark that says, “Marquez Beat Pacquiao Twice!!“, during the post-fight conference of the Marquez vs Katsidis bout. The shirt seems to provoke 8-division champion Manny Pacquiao into facing Marquez for the third time after the Mexican defeated Australian Michael Katsidis on Saturday (Sunday in Manila), November 27, 2010 in Las Vegas.

Marquez immediately asked for a third shot against Boxer of the Decade Pacquiao after retaining the World Boxing Association and World Boxing Organization lightweight titles against Katsidis. His record now stands at 52-5-1, with 38 wins by way of knockout.

The Mexican boxer is willing to fight Pacquiao at 140 to 142 lbs. However, Pacquiao‘s Hall-of-Famer coach Freddie Roach made it clear that the Filipino boxing hero will only fight in the welterweight division at 147 lbs.

Pacquiao earlier picked former world champion Shane “Sugar” Mosley as his next opponent.

Pacquiao and Marquez first fight in May 2004 ended up in a draw even though the Mexican went down three times in the bout. Four years later, Pacquiao won their rematch via split decision.

The Congressman boxer recently won his fight against Mexican Antonio Margarito.
