As noted at CNN on Tuesday, July 31, 2012, Arielle Zuckerberg works as a junior product manager at Wildfire, a social marketing firm in Redwood City, California that helps marketers engage their audiences using social media. Another Mark‘s sister Randi Zuckerberg “confirmed” it via Twitter.
“Congrats Wildfire! There are officially now more Zuckerberg family members working for Google than Facebook! #awkward,” Randi Zuckerberg (@randizuckerberg) tweeted that day; who worked as marketing director for Facebook for six years but left last year and started her own media company.
Meanwhile, Google officially announced on their official blog that they bought Wildfire, describing it as a ‘platform for brands to manage their pages, apps, tweets, videos, sponsorships, ads, promotions and more, all in one place’. The terms and price were not revealed but rumors said it costs around $250 million.
“It makes us so happy to know that joining with Google will make it easier for us to realize our vision of changing the way the world markets and enable us to live up to our commitment to make Wildfire an incredible place for our team and our customers.” A statement reads at WildfireApp.com blog.
