Marilyn Monroe rare photo collection photos was recently revealed by Anton Fury from Wayne, New Jersey, according to reports by several international news sites on May 31, 2011.

Fury took hold of an envelope full of negatives from a garage sale 30 years ago, and was unaware that it was the photos of Marilyn Monroe, one of Hollywood‘s most famous women.

Fury explained in a statement that he “couldn’t tell what they were; I could see they were a girl in a bikini but beyond that I didn’t know, so I bought them.” He added that he “took them home and imagine my surprise.”

Fury, a photographer by profession, bought the negatives of Monroe and Jayne Mansfield at a New Jersey garage sale in 1980 or 1981, because of his passion for vintage photography. According to Fury, the photos may have been taken in the early 1950s even before Norma Jeane Baker became Marilyn Monroe.

With Fury‘s revelation, he was able to get a lot of attention and he has “gotten a million calls from all over the world, from media all over the world.”

He keeps the negatives in a safe and plans to put them in auction once he got clearance that he has the legal right to sell them.
