According to TMZ on Friday, July 1, Maria Shriver filed for divorce and cited “irreconcilable differences” which will eventually end her 25 years of marriage with Arnold.

As noted on the divorce petition papers which TMZ has obtained a copy, the accumulated property during their marriage will be divided later with the date they separated not being mentioned.

Nevertheless, Shriver is asking for joint custody of their minor children, Patrick Arnold, 17, and Christopher Sargent, 13 years old; noting also a spousal support from Arnold.

However, TMZ also noted that since there was no prenuptial agreement made, all their earnings and other property acquired combined during when they were married will be divided into two.

Nevertheless, no trial will be held during the process of their divorce, with Arnold‘s lawyer Bob Kaufman and Laura Wasser, Maria‘s attorney; to discuss about the settlement off the court.

Reports say that Arnold Schwarzenegger’s wealth is being estimated to reach $300 million, while Maria could be worth almost $100 million, with the former being a Hollywood star.

The couple separated last May after Maria learned that Arnold became a father to a love child about a decade ago, which reports say the mother was one of their household staff named Mildred Patricia Baena.

Arnold Schwarzenegger and Maria Shriver were married on April 26, 1986 and had four children including two daughters, Katherine and Christina.
