Boxing champ and Sarangani Rep. Emmanuel “Manny” Pacquiao continuously receives praises from Malacañang for his recent victory over Juan Manuel Marquez, as announced by several local news sites, November 13, 2011.

According to reports, President Benigno Aquino III tweeted his congratulations saying, “Congratulations @MannyPacquiao! Ipinagmamalaki ka ng buong Pilipinas”.

Ramon Carandang, Presidential Communications Development and Strategic Planning Office secretary, similarly commended Manny and Marquez for such a good fight.

“Congratulations to the Filipino people and to Pacquiao. There was no knockdown by Pacquiao today but we have seen the judges decide and Pacquiao was victorious,” Carandang reportedly mentioned in a radio interview.

Likewise, he said that there is also no question Marquez is “probably the worthiest opponent Pacquiao has ever faced.”

Related reports also reveal that the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) equally congratulated Pacquiao tweeting, “Congratulations to our ‘Pambansang KamaoManny ‘Pacman’ Pacquiao for successfully defending his WBO World Welterweight Title!”
