Filipino boxing sensation MannyPacmanPacquiao dominated his 12-round fight against BrandonBam BamRios at The Venetian Macao in Macau, China on Saturday, November 23, 2013. (Sunday in Manila)

The 34-year-old Pacquiao showed that he prepared well for the WBO international welterweight fight versus Rios.

Pacquiao was just too fast as he outpointed the 27-year-old Rios to take home the welterweight belt.

It was a lopsided fight and Pacquiao was never threatened by the much heavier and taller Rios. The judges scored the fight 120-108, 119-109 and 118-110 all in favor of Pacquiao.

The victory was a redemption for Pacquiao who suffered from consecutive losses to Timothy Bradley and Juan Manuel Marquez.

Pacquiao raised his boxing career record to 55 wins, five losses and two draws.

The People’s Champ dedicated the fight to the survivors of super typhoon Yolanda. Pacquiao vowed to visit the typhoon victims upon his return to the Philippines.

Rios, who seems to be out of condition for the fight, suffered his second straight loss and dropped his professional record to 31 wins, two defeats and one draw. Mike Alvarado beat him last March for his first loss of his boxing career.

Will Pacquiao’s win over Rios pave the way for a mega-blockbuster fight against Floyd Mayweather Jr.?
