Manny Pacquiao lands on 2012 Forbes’ Top 100 World’s Most Powerful Celebrities list, along with LeBron James

Filipino boxing champion Manny Pacquiao made it to the 2012 Forbes’ Top 100 World’s Most Powerful Celebrities list, where Jennifer Lopez landed as No. 1 and Oprah Winfrey on the second place.

As noted by Forbes on their official website on Wednesday, May 16, 2012, Manny Pacquiao landed as the 33rd Forbes’ Top 100 world’s most powerful celebrity for 2012 and was joined by NBA superstars LeBron James and Kobe Bryant.

According to Forbes, Manny Pacquiao, who recently went under controversy for his gay marriage comments, made $67 million in the past 12 months and became a pay-per-view favorite with each of his five fights during the last four years earning at least one million PPV buy.

Pacquiao, 33, who is now in the US and preparing for his fight against Timothy Bradley this coming June 9, at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, was said to have expanded his endorsement deals with huge companies such as Monster Energy, Hennessy, Nike, and Hewlett-Packard.

Meanwhile, Miami Heat‘s LeBron James, who recently won the 2012 NBA MVP award, landed on the 15th spot on the said list and reportedly made $53 million over the past 12 months, with Los Angeles LakersKobe Bryant landing as 27th and notably earned $50 million in the last 12 months.

Apparently, among other athletes who are included in Forbes’ Top 100 World’s Most Powerful Celebrities list for this year are Tiger Woods, Roger Federer, David Beckham, Rafael Nadal, and Floyd Mayweather Jr, who landed on the 52nd spot; with the complete list available at Forbes.com.
