Man thrown from plane while flying aircraft over in TennesseeBy Alex Jusi Madlangbayan on Mar 30, 2013 in Lifestyle, South America, Travel, Weird, World •
A man thrown from a plane was taking a flying lesson in Tennessee and may not survive the incident on Saturday, March 30, 2013.
The student pilot was with his plane instructor as they flew a Zodiac 601 aircraft at 2,500 feet over the Collegedale Municipal Airport.
Initial reports say that the plane’s canopy surprisingly went flying. The unidentified trainee pilot, with his seat belt disengaged, was quickly ripped off from the aircraft seat and thrown out.
The instructor was able to regain control and safely landed the plane at the airport. He immediately reported the incident and helped in the search operation for the student pilot.
Authorities tried to locate the victim through the GPS of his mobile phone that was with him when he was thrown from the plane.
Further investigation may be underway as the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) were already informed of the incident.
Below is a video of a Zodiac 601 airplane which is reportedly a type of aircraft commonly used for leisure and pilot training flights.
