As noted at entertainment news sites that day, Madonna performed for 12 minutes at the Super Bowl XLVI halftime at Lucas Oil Stadium stage in Indianapolis, along with other performers and back-up dancers, her first time in her entire music career.

During the start of her performance, Madonna was escorted by an army of gladiators and was wearing diamond-studded gold crown as she performed her 90s hit “Vogue“, and the stage flashed covers of the iconic fashion magazine.

Madonna‘s next song was her 2000s dance jam “Music” and the 53-year old singer was joined by LMFAO‘s Stefan ‘Redfoo’ Gordy and Skyler ‘SkyBlu’ Gordy, who also sang samples of their “Party Rock Anthem” and “Sexy and I Know It.”

Later, Madonna performed her new single, “Give Me All Your Luvin,” with Nicki Minaj and M.I.A., with its official music video released last Friday, and is the first song of her latest album MDNA, which will be released on March 26, 2012 and distributed by Interscope Records.

Nevertheless, Madonna‘s finale was her 1989 hit, “Like a Prayer“, which she opened with samplings of “Open Your Heart” and “Express Yourself” and was joined by rapper Cee Lo Green and backed by a gospel choir; and ended with the message “World Peace” illuminating on the stage.
