Lock Ness monster version of England was seen and pictures were taken by Kayaking couple, Tom Pickles and Sarah Harrington on the waters of Lake Windermere, according to a a report by Brett Michael Dykes of The Upshot on Friday, February 18, 2011.

The afternoon sight of what is considered a primeval sea monster occurred on the foggy waters of Lake Windermere. The couple revealed that they saw something that appeared to to be “an enormous snake” swimming by the lake.

Lake Windermere has the reputation to be the territory of the British version of the Nessie-like serpent. There were already about eight sightings reported in the area since 1933. In 2006, a journalism professor and his wife reportedly saw a “giant eel” measuring about 15-20 feet long. The sightings of British version of the Loch Ness monster has prompted authorities to set a sonar equipment in the area.

Below is the statement provided by Tom Pickles that describes their experience at Lake Windermere.

It was petrifying and we paddled back to the shore straight away. At first I thought it was a dog and then saw it was much bigger and moving really quickly at about 10 mph. Each hump was moving in a rippling motion and it was swimming fast. Its skin was like a seal’s but its shape was completely abnormal—it’s not like any animal I’ve ever seen before.
