Rapper Lil Wayne was finally released from the Rikers Island prison, as published on MTV a few moments ago.

Lil Wayne, or Weezy, was reported to have been released from Rikers Island prison at around 8:30 Thursday morning (November 4, US time)

This is after an earlier report said that the scheduled November 4, 1am (US time) Lil Wayne release was delayed for ‘one day’.

According to MTV, Lil Wayne’s Young Money crew began to share their excitement via Twitter a few minutes after he was released.

Later, an exclusive photo of Lil Wayne was shared online, in which MTV had acquired.

The photo (as shown on your left) has LilWayneHQ.com on it, and Lil Wayne can be seen sitting inside a vehicle with the window rolled down, and wearing a white shirt and a white cap on his head.

Lil Wayne was reported to have been sent to jail to serve an 8-month sentence for allegedly having a loaded gun in his 2007 concert tour.
