Rapper Lil Wayne prison release will be delayed for ‘one day’, as published at MTV on Wednesday.

According to the report, Lil Wayne prison release will not happen today as earlier announced, which was supposedly at 1am, today (November 4 US time).

Instead, a Rikers Island corrections officer apparently told MTV News that Lil Wayne will still to wait for ‘one more day’ to call himself as a free man.

“His time was miscalculated. He owed, he owes one day of ‘good time,’ so it’s gonna be another night,” Officer Caraballo reportedly said, but not really confirming that Lil Wayne will be released on Thursday, tomorrow.

“If you get an infraction in jail, they’ll take away ‘good time’ — time that you accumulated for good behavior.” The officer added, although the cause of delay was not disclosed.

Lil Wayne, or Weezy, was reported to have been set in a New York jail to serve an 8-month sentence for allegedly having a loaded gun in his tour on 2007.

Incidentally, his latest album, I Am Not a Human Being, was made available at iTunes for download on September 27, 2010, which was also his 28th birthday.

Lil Wayne was said not to be available for any comments, as to whether he will really be released tomorrow or whatever date.
