The Miami Heat closed out Game 7 of the 2012 NBA Eastern Conference Finals with a 101-88 victory over the Boston Celtics on Saturday night, June 9, 2012 at the American Airlines Arena, Miami, Fl. The Heat is heading to the NBA Finals for the second consecutive season versus the Oklahoma City Thunder.
LeBron James led Miami with 31 points and 12 rebounds. Dwyane Wade recovered from another lackluster first half and scored 23 points while Chris Bosh added 19 points for the Heat. Bosh was 3 of 4 from the three point range.
In a post-game interview, James described the Heat victory as a “collective effort.”
Rajon Rondo scored 22 points for Boston. Paul Pierce had 19 points and Brandon Bass added 18 for the Celtics. Boston‘s other superstars, Ray Allen and Kevin Garnett contributed 15 and 14 points respectively.
The 2012 NBA Finals between the Oklahoma City Thunder and Miami Heat will begin on Tuesday, June 12 in Chesapeake Energy Arena, Oklahoma City, OK.
