LeBron James Leads Heat Win vs Pistons, 98-75, Wade Out With Sore Ankle

LeBron James led the Miami Heat to a rousing victory over the Detroit Pistons, 98-75, on Sunday, April 8, 2012 at the American Airlines Arena, Miami, FL, according to a game recap posted at NBA.com.

James scored 26 points on 12 of 22 field goal shooting for Miami. Chris Bosh added 22 points and nine rebounds. James Jones, who tied his personal career-best with six 3-point shots and new career record of four steals, scored 18 points for the Heat.

The Heat won over the Pistons even without Dwyane Wade, who is out with a sore right ankle he suffered in last Friday’s game against the Memphis Grizzlies. Wade has missed his 11th game of the 2012 NBA regular season.

Miami has won 10 games without Wade in the lineup and are now 18-1 in their last 19 home games.

Detroit was led by rookie Brandon Knight with 16 points. Greg Monroe and Rodney Stuckey each scored 11 points for the Pistons.

Miami (40-15) is now within two games behind the Chicago Bulls (43-14) for the best record in the Eastern Conference.

Miami Heat will next play against the Boston Celtics on Tuesday.
