The couple Lauren and David Blair from Henderson, Tennessee reportedly got married 100 times, setting a new Guinness World Record for “Most Marriage Vow Renewals by the Same Couple“.

As noted by Guinness World Record on its official website on Monday, October 3, 2011, Lauren and David Blair renewed their vows for the 99th time on Sunday, October 2 at the Hard Rock Cafe in Honolulu, Hawaii.

According to the report, their first meeting was on 1982 and their first date was two days later. Within three months, David Blair proposed for marriage.

The couple first got married in the summer of 1984 at Topanga Canyon, California and has been renewing their vows since then, with every ceremony held in different places.

David, 58, and Lauren, 60, have broken their own record of 66 times of vow renewal in 2001.

According to Lauren Blair, they have done so many vow renewals in order to bring back the initial moment of happiness.

“We were both in long-term relationships in the past that didn’t work out,” Lauren Blair was quoted as saying.

“We knew we were meant for each other and wanted to continually share that vow experience. I love to look into David‘s eyes as he is repeating his vows. I know that this man will love me until the day I die,” she added.

“Of course, David will tell you that he does it for the honeymoon,” she jokingly revealed.
