According to All Things D on Thursday, February 9, 2012, their unnamed sources said that Apple will have a big event next month, most likely at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts and will release the so-called iPad 3 and that it will have a 2048×1536 Retina Display.

As noted in the report, the Apple event will be on the first week of March and iPad 3 will be sold probably a week after; which is in contrast to a report on Thursday, February 2 that the said event will be this month.

Apparently, a Japanese blog called Macotakara noted that an Apple event will be held this February and a product launch in March, but recently updated and posted some changes on the details.

“I reported that Apple was going to hold Special Event in early February according to Asian supplier and source from United States, but this report told a half-side of truth. Apple will hold “Strange” event at February instead of Special Event.” A statement reads at Macotakara.jp.

“Special Event for new products will be hold in early March and will release products during March as usual.” The statement added, which is now the same as the report on All Things D.

Meanwhile, recent iPad 3 rumors revealed an alleged leaked photo of the new Apple tablet that has a thicker design, 1 mm thicker than iPad 2, which was noted to accommodate the Retina display and a larger battery.
