Laila Ali, ‘Dancing with the Stars’ Alum Welcomes Baby Girl Sydney

Laila Ali, the former boxer and daughter of boxing legend Muhammad Ali gave birth to a baby girl named Sydney on Monday, April 4, 2011, as reported by several international entertainment sites.

The Dancing with the Stars alum tweeted at her Twitter account TheRealLailaAli:  “I had my baby girl this morning! Sydney arrived on her due date at 3am! Everyone is happy and healthy.”

Sydney is the second child for Laila and her husband Curtis Conway. The couple also has a two-year-old son, Curtis “C.J.” Muhammad Jr.

Laila also added that her father Muhammad is excited about becoming a grandfather again. According to her, “My dad is an excellent grandfather.  He loves kids. He loves to kiss them to death.”

Ali and dance partner Maksim Chmerkovskiy came in third place on ABC’s Dancing With the Stars.
