As noted by TMZ on Friday, August 5, 2011, a singer named Rebecca Fancescatti filed a lawsuit against Lady Gaga and claimed that “Judas” has a lot of similarities from her 1999 song “Juda“.

Fancescatti, from Chicago, said that the similarities between the two songs are not coincidence since there was a person that has been common between her and Lady Gaga.

Apparently, Fancescatti said that Brian Gaynor, who is now an employee of the music company that wrote 17 songs on “Born This Way” album, was her former bass player.

“Though the songs are different styles, the composition is the same and the chorus is the same melody … [Rebecca] is seeking recognition for what she created.” Rebecca‘s lawyer, Chris Niro told TMZ.

As of this writing, Lady Gaga have not commented on this issue and instead released the “You and I” song cover, which she posted a photo on Twitter.

“You will never find what you are looking for in love, if you don’t love yourself.” Lady Gaga tweeted on Saturday, along with the said photo.

The “You and I” song cover showed two images of Lady Gaga posing as her male alter-ego Jo Calderone, which was taken by Nick Knight back in June 2010.
