Lady Gaga now has slightly more than 9 million Twitter followers on Friday, March 25, 2011, the first Twitter user to reach that status, and released the Country Road version of ‘Born This Way’ at YouTube, as shown in the video below.

As of this writing, Lady Gaga has 9,012,793 Twitter followers, and passed the 9-million mark when she tweeted about the release of the ‘Born This Way’ Country Road version.

“The Country Road Version of Born This Way. Produced By: Me + Fernando. Photo By: @popjustice ♥” Lady Gaga tweets on Friday.

Born This Way is #1 for the 6th week in a row on Billboard, + hit #1 on TOP 40 too! You are so bad ass lil monsters: so I have a surprise!” Lady Gaga tweeted earlier, apparently referring to the release of ‘Born This Way’ Country Road version.

This latest version of ‘Born This Way‘, co-produced by Lady Gaga herself with Fernando Garibay, has a new verse: “If we want it make it country, baby, it’s okay/’cause I was born, I was born, I was born this way/from London, Paris, Japan, back to U.S.A/I was born on the road, I was born to be brave.”

Lady Gaga, who joined Twitter in 2008 and has nearly 31 million Facebook fans, comes far ahead from Britney Spears and Justin Bieber, who has nearly 8.3 million followers.
