Labor Day: US President Obama to Speak in Detroit, Aretha Franklin to Sing, While Gas Prices Increase Seen

US President Obama is scheduled to speak in Detroit on Labor Day, September 5, 2011.

Obama is expected to talk about jobs to thousands of workers, in a nation where the percentage of jobless persons may increase as fuel prices increase is seen as well, over the Labor Day weekend. This was revealed by various US news sites, September 1, 2011.

Aretha Franklin will sing in the same occasion, which will be conducted at the General Motors in Detroit.

Meanwhile, local Atlanta news reported that gas prices were at their highest compared to US Labor Day 2010 prices.

Gas prices increased to as much as $1, and reportedly may even go higher as Labor Day approaches.
