Manila, Philippines – KZ Tandingan was declared the first-ever ‘X Factor Philippines‘ winner on Sunday, October 7, 2012, held live at the PAGCOR Theater in Paranaque City, beating Gabriel Maturan and male quartet Daddy’s Home; a week after Allen Sta. Maria was voted out. Below are the videos of her performance during the Grand Performance night and the announcement of winner.

As aired at ABS-CBN Channel 2 on Sunday night, KZ Tandingan won ‘The X Factor Philippines‘ title, and brought home the grand prize worth 4 million pesos, including a recording contract with Star Records. Gabriel Maturan won the second place and 100,000 pesos, while Daddy’s Home won 50,000 pesos as third place.
During the finals performance night on Saturday, the group Daddy’s Home performed Gary Valenciano‘s religious hit, “Gaya ng Dati,” Gabriel Maturan sang “I Believe,” the winning song of American Idol Season 3 winner Fantasia Barrino. KZ Tandingan rendered her own version of The Carpenters’ “Superstar.”
That night, Daddy’s Home performed with Soul Siren Nina and sang Chaka Khan’s “Through The Fire.” KZ Tandingan had a duet with Total Entertainer Rico J. Puno, and sang Barbra Streisand‘s “The Way We Were,” while Gabriel Maturan sang with Bamboo via The Script’s “The Man Who Can’t Be Moved.”
Meanwhile, host KC Concepcion opened ‘The X Factor Philippines‘ grand finals night with a performance, and was followed by the three finalists, who sang with former singing search champions Erik Santos, Jed Madela, Jovit Baldivino, and Angeline Quinto, who won the Star Power: Search For The Next Female Pop Superstar in 2011.
After the commercial break, eliminated contestants Kedebon Colim, Modesto Taran, as well and Jeffrey Soliven (aka Osang), who became famous despite not entering the Top 12 finalists, performed on stage with April Boy Regino, and comedian singers Manny Pokyaw and K Brosas.
Later, Pinoy Dream Academy winner Yeng Constantino performed with the ‘The X Factor Philippines‘ Top 5 finalists, KZ, Gabriel, Daddy’s Home, Allen, and Jeric Medina. The Top 12 finalists also performed and sang songs from their All Star album, released this Saturday via Apple iTunes Philippines.
Before the announcement of ‘The X Factor Philippines‘ winner, each of the four judge-mentors performed on stage, starting from Charice Pempengco, who sang her hit “Pyramid,” followed by Gary V who sang his hit song “Hataw Na” along with his usual dance moves.
Martin Nievera sang “This Is The Moment,” which he said he dedicate to his talent Gabriel Maturan, while Ms. Pilita Corrales sang “If I Sing Another Song,” and was later joined by the three other judge-mentors. The final performances that night were the three ‘The X Factor Philippines‘ finalists, singing with their respective mentors.
