Kobe Bryant To Play Against Ankle Injury and Chris Paul In Game 5 Of NBA Playoffs

LA Lakers superstar Kobe Bryant did not take an MRI on his injured ankle, but insists on playing in Game 5 of the NBA Playoffs against the Chris Paul-led New Orleans Hornets, according to a report by NBA.com on Tuesday, April 26, 2011.

Bryant informed Lakers coach Phil Jackson that he will be suiting up for Tuesday’s Game 5 and play against his sore ankle.

During the LakersHornets Game 4 last Sunday, Bryant suffered a left ankle injury while defending against Hornet’s Willie Green. The Lakers lost the game against the Hornets, 93-88. Bryant left the arena on crutches.

The Lakers-Hornets best-of-seven series is currently tied at 2-2. Paul is expected to lead the Hornets against the Lakers in Game 5.
