According to TMZ that day, which obtained a copy of the divorce petition papers, Vanessa Bryant cited “irreconcilable differences”, in which she and Kobe Bryant have already signed the document.

As noted in the report, sources connected with the couple told them that Vanessa believed that Kobe is being unfaithful again and the LA Lakers star will do anything to win back her heart.

Meanwhile, Kobe Bryant’s wife is asking for a joint custody of their 2 daughters, Natalia, 8, and Gianna, 5, as well as spousal support, which the 33-year old basketball player agreed to do so.

Nevertheless, TMZ also learned that the couple had no prenuptial agreement and therefore, Vanessa is entitled to fifty percent of Kobe Bryant‘s wealth he earned during the past decade.

Kobe Bryant reportedly met then 17-year old Vanessa Laine in 1999 and they began dating six months after. They got married on April 18, 2001, at St. Edward Roman Catholic Church in California.

Back in 2003, Kobe Bryant was charged of sɛxual assault and the case was filed by 19-year old hotel employee in Colorado named Katelyn Faber, who noted in the complaint that the incident happened in his hotel room.

The NBA star later admitted the encounter and apologized but stressed out that it happened with her consent, and case was reportedly but was later resolved out of court a year after.
