Kobe Bryant becomes the first athlete to have his hands and footprints placed in the cement outside Grauman’s Chinese Theater in Hollywood, as shown in the photo below.

According to international news sites, NBA superstar Kobe Bryant had his hands and footprints imprinted on the concrete at the Grauman’s Chinese Theater on Saturday, including his No. 24.

As reported earlier, the casting of Kobe Bryant’s hand and footprints is usually awarded to Hollywood’s brightest stars, in which Marilyn Monroe and Brad Pitt have received earlier.

Kobe Bryant, Los Angeles Lakers star player and also the youngest NBA player to score 26,000 points thanked the latest honor he has received.

“This is a tremendous honor,” he said. “I feel extremely honored to be able to do this. It’s never something I actually thought about when I was watching movies.” The 32-year old NBA superstar said.

“I never thought my hand and foot prints would be sitting right here at Grauman’s Chinese Theater.” He added, who was accompanied by his wife Vanessa and daughters Natalia and Gianna.

He is the second person outside the movie industry to receive such honor, in which the first one was Rosa Grauman, the mother of the theater’s founder, Sid Grauman, reports say.

Kobe Bryant will play for the West Conference for the NBA All-Star on Sunday at the Staple Center in Los Angeles.
