Knicks vs Heat result: Miami Heat wins (102-88), Jeremy Lin Linsanity lost to LeBron James in a tough match

LeBron James and Jeremy Lin met in South Beach for the first time in the NBA hardcourt, with Miami Heat winning against the New York Knicks (102-88); as the Linsanity fever seemed to be not that hot during that game.

As featured at NBA on Thursday, February 23, 2012, the New York Knicks lost in a tough struggling match as both Lin and Stoudemire shared errors that night over the tough defense of Miami Heat, which already has 8 straight wins.

As noted in the final scoreboards, Heat‘s Chris Bosh led the scores with 25 points, Dwyane Wade made 22 and Lebron James made 20 points, while KnicksCarmelo Anthony made 19 points, J.R. Smith had 14 and Amare Stoudemire with 13 points.

However, Jeremy Lin made 8 points only in the entire game with three assists, as the Heat finished the first quarter leading by four points (24-20) and the Knicks making nine turnovers including three from Lin and four from Stoudemire.

Apparently, the first half ended with each team making 24 points in the second quarter with the Heat still leading by 4 points (51-47) but the Knicks has already 15 turnovers including 6 each from Lin and Stoudemire.

Lin, 23, who lead the Knicks in their seven straight wins, made only 2 points during the entire first half, with two rebounds and two assists, while Stoudemire made 11 points and Anthony had 9 points with 5 rebounds.

For the third quarter, the Heat continued its lead and made 29 points adding 10 more points ahead over the Knicks (80-66), as both teams made 22 points each in the fourth and final quarter, with Lin ending the game with a total of 9 turnovers.

This recent game is only the second meeting between the Knicks and Heat this season, and Miami won that time back in January (99-89). LeBron James made 31 points in that game while Jeremy Lin did not play.
