Kim Kardashian’s Debit Card Taken off the Market due to Expensive Fees

According to International News sites, Kim Kardashian and her sisters, Kourtney and Khloe, of the reality TV hit series “Keeping Up with the Kardashians,” have finally decided to cancel their icon branding of the debit card called the “Kardashian Kard” as of November 30, 2010.

This is due to various complaints of clients about the exorbitant charges concerning the card purchase, monthly fees, ATM withdrawals, replacement of card and it even charges clients when they opt to cancel their accounts.  It would not have been a problem if the charges are reasonable, but based on current standards it is considered extremely expensive with upfront fees ranging from $59.95 to $99.95 which include 6-month fees. And these are fees only without any money in the card.

Atty. General Richard Blumenthal said in an interview that he would look into the expensive fees.  The trio has requested that their names and pictures be struck out from the debit card, prompting the company to close shop after only less than a month of operation; it started November 10. People who have bought the card, usually young adults, will have their money back.

Meanwhile, the Kardashians want to maintain their wholesome image but it seems this fiasco has tinted that popularity.
