Kevin Love is NBA All Star 2012 Foot Locker Three Point Contest Winner After Shootout With Kevin Durant

Prior to the much anticipated 2012 Sprite NBA Slam Dunk Contest, Kevin Love won the 2012 Foot Locker Three Point Contest on Saturday, February 25, 2012 at the AmWay Center in Orlando. The Minnesota Timberwolves star won the three point shootout contest in a tiebreaker round against Kevin Durant of the Oklahoma City Thunder, according to NBA.com.

Love and Durant ended up tied with 16 points apiece in the final round while James Jones of the Miami Heat had 12 points. During the final round tiebreaker, Love scored 17 points against Durant‘s 14 points.

In the first round, Love had to go through a tiebreaker against Mario Chalmers of the Miami Heat to earn the last seat in the final round. Jones top-scored in the first round with 22 points and made seven consecutive shots.

Earlier, Tony Parker won the Taco Bell Skills Challenge 2012 competition against Deron Williams and Rajon Rondo.
