In a press release by Warner Bros on Friday, March 18, 2011, movie director Zack Snyder confirmed that veteran actor Kevin Costner will join his new Superman movie, as Jonathan Kent, Clark’s adoptive father.

Jonathan Kent is the only father figure Clark has ever had, the man who was there to help Clark understand what he was meant to do in the world as Superman.” Synder said on the statement.

Kevin (Costner) will be able to communicate the quiet strength of this ‘rural American man’ who raised the greatest super hero of all time.” the new Superman movie director added, which now completes the parents of Clark Kent.
