Katy Perry performed at ‘VH1 Divas: Salute the Troops‘, and was joined by fellow fabulous female entertainers like Nicki Minaj and Keri Hilson, as reported by VH1 on their official blog.

The event took place on Friday night at the Marine Corps Air Station Miramar in San Diego, California, with Kathy Griffin hosting the show, and will be aired on VH1, Sunday at 9 p.m.

Perry, who became Mrs. Russel Brand after she got married last October, arrived at the show via an American flag parachute and joined the opening number

The 25-year old pop singer performed numerous songs and had a lot of changes in outfit in which one of them had ‘Stars and Stripes’ to honor the US military troops.

She had a duet with Nicki Minaj with the classic song of Cyndi Lauper‘s ‘Girls Just Wanna Have Fun’.

The ‘Divas’, as dubbed as the VH1 network, entertained about 27,000 people in the audience as estimated by reporters.

Other performers that evening include Heart, Sugarland, Paramore, as well as Grace Potter and The Nocturnals, and others.

As a closing performance, Katy Perry sang her ‘Firework’ as she wore a sultry red dress apparently inspired by Jessica Rabbit’s attire in the animated film, “Who Framed Roger Rabbit.”
