Katy Perry answers to Sesame Street Elmo duet ban

Last week, singer Katy Perry was in hot news after her supposed performance with Elmo in Sesame Street was ban due to being ‘too provocative’.

This is after some parents complained that the singer’s yellow dress was not appropriate for kids’ view.

That controversial Hot and ColdPerry duet with Elmo segment was not shown in TV, but the video can still be viewed via You Tube.

A statement was released by the producers of Sesame Street saying that, ‘we also value our viewer’s opinions and particularly those of parents’.

“In light of the feedback we’ve received on the Katy Perry music video which was released on You Tube only, we have decided we will not air the segment on the television broadcast of Sesame Street.” The statement added.

Over the weekend, different opinions came out, until Katy Perry herself answers the issue when she
appeared on at Saturday Night Live.

In the comedy skit ‘Bronx Beat’ with Amy Poehler and Maya Rudolph, Perry played Maureen, a teenager who suddenly developed her breasts, and are bursting out of her Elmo shirt.
