Kardashian Protests: Kim Kardashian Greeted With Protests On Her Visit To BahrainBy Marhgil Macuha on Dec 2, 2012 in Entertainment, Hollywood, Middle East, World •
Several hard-line Islamic protesters in Bahrain, about 100 of them, protested the presence of Kim Kardashian in their country, international news sites reported on Saturday, December 1, 2012.
According to reports, Kardashian is in Bahrain to open a branch of her Millions of Milkshakes shop. The protest happened near the shopping complex in Riffa, about 20km south of the capital Manama, where police reportedly used tear gas to disperse the protesters.
Reports said that protesters are chanting “God is Great.” One protester reportedly told the NY Daily News that “none of our customs and traditions allow us to receive stars of p*rn movies.” They were cleared before Kardashian came late on Saturday.
Meanwhile, Kardashian said nothing but praises to the country. She called Bahrain, “the prettiest place on Earth” on her Twitter account, a tweet retweeted by Bahrain‘s foreign minister.
Kardashian was in Kuwait earlier that week to open another branch of her shop, reports said.
